Neurological Examination
Because of inflammation or pressure on the cells, brain tumors can cause vision and movement impairments. The neurological examination includes a variety of activities and exercises to determine and judge the cause of these problems. This is done by tracking the neurological deficit back to the control center of the brain. The tests include eye movements, body reflexes and coordination between the various body parts to determine if the brain and neurons are working properly. A defect in brain function or tumor can signal brain damage.
MRI

Magnetic resonance imaging can be used to detect brain disease. This procedure is not invasive or operative. The patients may be given sedatives to keep them calm. An MRI is completely safe because it relies on a radio wave and magnetic field. You will be asked to remove any metal jewelry before the MRI.
