Chemical Carcinogen
A rodent study has been designed to evaluate the level of causality of chemical carcinogens on brain tumors. Some compounds may increase the risk of developing brain tumors. Some of these compounds include
- Vinyl chloride
- N-nitroso compounds
- Compounds found in cigarette smoke
- Petroleum Products
There is no definitive link between these chemicals, and brain tumours, due to variables such as personal immunity, the degree and duration of exposure, the health of participants, and their age. Research has shown that people who work in the rubber industry, plastics industry, or drug preparation are more likely to develop brain tumors.
