Entering a restaurant
He quickly entered the restaurant. He was lucky that there was no doorbell above it, so he didn’t have to make much noise. He chose a booth just behind Julia and Andrea so that he could hear their conversation. As he was ordering a drink a third individual sat with them. He was afraid he would get noticed. But he was fortunate that the booth was right behind them, and that they didn’t notice him.
He was relieved to hear the conversation of his friends without being noticed. He was careful not to draw attention to himself and remained discreet. He was grateful that he could find a seat near enough to Andrea and Julia, while remaining hidden. So that he would remain hidden, he was very careful to keep quiet and not move too much. He also avoided making any sudden movements which would attract attention.
A tall person
The third person in the group was a tall, handsome man who looked like Julia.
“Dave! Julia shouted “You made it!” as she jumped up and hugged Dave.
“Hi, sis. “Good to see you,” said he with a crack on his face. Henry thought, Sis. What is happening here?
Henry’s heart was racing as he watched what unfolded in front of him. He was unsure of what to think about the situation and felt as if he were holding his breath. He’d never seen Julia with another man before, much less a man that looked like her. His mind was spinning as he tried to make sense of what was going on. He wondered if it was the brother Julia never spoke of before. He wondered how long the couple had been together, and why Julia had never brought up his name. He felt a bit confused and angry.
