Blood Test
In addition to physical examinations, a blood test is administered to determine lgE levels in the blood serum. Occasionally, physicians also examine the lesions’ tissue fluid for parasites or infections, such as herpes-virus or scabies infection. These can cause symptoms similar to atopic dermatitis.
