Raised bumps with leaky fluidĀ
Atopic dermatitis causes odour and the development of red bumps on the skin, which become irritating. Sometimes the bumps become filled with fluid, and when the skin is scraped, fluid begins to exude. The epidermis is red, bumpy, and secretes a fluid that increases its susceptibility to infection. Occasionally, pus forms in the epidermis, making the bumps extremely painful and increasing the area’s redness. Pus also causes odour, and infection can develop. If the infection is caused by bacteria or another microorganism, it worsens the situation and causes significant skin injury.
