Red or brownish-gray patches
On the epidermis of atopic dermatitis patients, red and brown patches can be observed. Due to increased itchiness, the area of skin turns red. Patches begin to appear on the epidermis over time. The affected region may become bloated and parched. The patches and scarring are unattractive manifestations of atopic dermatitis. These patches can take on a disc-like form, and scars are readily visible on the skin.
