The story is not true
Mark told his wife the whole story, but she was skeptical. She thought it was an absurd excuse to adopt a dog secretly, and assumed he did so because he expected her disapproval.
Mark was lucky to have the pictures of the pups and the dog. The evidence was there, in black and white. (Well, it’s more like color but you get my point). This is a mic drop moment, if ever I saw one!
