Someone is waiting for them
The sun had already begun its evening descent by the time the group reached the rescue center. Most places would have had a “Sorry we’re closed”, but not in this place. They must have heard about these hikers’ wild stories because they opened the doors wide.
When they arrived, they were surprised to find someone waiting for them.
