Hurting It is Illegal
The federal government does not allow the killing of timberwolves in Wisconsin because they are listed as an endangered species. John could be sent to jail or fined if he shot and killed the animal. It could be a wolf. !
Wolf or Coyote
It’s sometimes hard to distinguish between the two animals, even though wolves tend to be larger. One friend asked if John was right about the animal’s identification. John realized that it was a Timber Wolf because of its markings and size.
